We are happy to announce that SIGMA will hold the Annual SIGMA Research Symposium 2023 on Ageing and Well-being over the Life Course on May 11-12, 2023 at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo. It will be in English and held in a hybrid manner of in-person plus online participation.
This symposium is co-hosted with “19th International Conference on Pensions, Insurance and Savings.”

Call for Papers

The SIGMA Research Symposium invites you to participate in the Symposium 2023. Inviting researchers and Ph.D. candidates from all SIGMA member institutions, industry/community experts and policymakers, the symposium aims to exchange and discuss research findings and related policy implications in the area of ageing and well-being over the life course. By doing so, it will help align research interests of young researchers and graduate students to promote research on these issues and develop research capacity in common topics of interest among SIGMA members.

Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Topics
The program will explore the following specific sub-themes that correspond to the four key dimensions of well-being, namely economic, mental, physical, and social well-being. Possible paper topics include, but are not limited to: healthcare insurance, social security and public pension, retirement preparedness, mental resilience over the life course, impact of COVID-19 on mental well-being, impact of interventions on mental health and well-being, preventive healthcare policies and approaches, and endemic and new norms.

Qualification
Researchers, Post Doctoral Researchers and Graduate Students from all SIGMA member institutions
We also welcome industry/community experts, policymakers and researchers from other institutions as well.

Submission Guidelines
1: Abstracts must be 500 words or less and in a Microsoft Word document.
2: Abstracts should be submitted using the Abstract Paper Template through Our Online System by Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

*Conference presentations will be approximately 15 minutes.
*Notifications of acceptance will be sent out in March 2023.
